I lead SmartUp – Social Innovation Lab, a non-profit in Skopje, North Macedonia, that works with institutions, cities and communities on public challenges. As president I am responsible for the organisation as a whole: its programmes, finances, operations, team and partnerships.
In more than ten years in the non-profit sector I have helped deliver more than 40 projects in education, climate adaptation, youth and public sector innovation, with partners such as UNICEF, UNDP, the European Union and EIT Climate-KIC, Erasmus+, UNHCR, OSCE, the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation and the U.S. Embassy in Skopje.
I built SmartUp's financial procedures and internal controls. Because of them, donors assess SmartUp as a low-risk partner and its audits come back with no findings.
I also co-lead Orion Create, a creative and digital agency that works closely with SmartUp, building campaigns, websites and digital tools for non-profits and public institutions.
My background is in technology. I started as a web developer and spent six years as an ICT and open government consultant with UNDP North Macedonia, working on Skopje Lab and the city's open data.
